As an epic eco-collective, The Giving Tree Band jams green

Currently touring after their 2nd full-length album Great Possessions, The Giving Tree Band made a stop at the awesome organic clothing store Topo Ranch in Boulder, CO.

Started by the Brothers Fink, Todd and Eric, the GTB are an American Indie Folk-Rock group made up of instruments such as guitar, banjo, upright bass, violin, mandolin, slide dobro, dulcimer, ukulele, harmonica, glockenspiel, and percussion. Most of which are made from naturally fallen trees or reclaimed wood.

In fact, its members are utmost stewards at living an eco-concious life. Their CD’s have been manufactured with renewable wind energy, packaged with 100% recycled materials, printed on with veggie inks, and shrink wrapped with biodegradable corn cellulose.

Using the Topo Ranch store front display as a stage, the epic collective of 8 members poured it out to the many patrons and spectators throughout the shop. Their jamgrass tunes spilled out into the streets and like mice to cheese, attracted more attentive folks indoors. With their reckless passion for adventure + tack sharp jams, GTB has redefined the way music is experienced and consumed.

Check out their Tour Dates and definitely catch a show while you have the chance.

Thanks Uschi. Result of about 4 hours playing in Photoshop. I wanted a vintage/faded style that depicted a warm/friendly/fun feeling of living in the hustle of the scene.

Are their jeans organic as well?
  • shanerich
I don't think they carry jeans. They just have a line of Tee's and tops richt now I think. Check out http://toporanch.com to delve deeper into that inquiry. Thanks.
