Welcome to oncemany.com, a 365 day editorial photography project by Denver/Boulder artist Shane Rich. I am booking each day in 2010 for one client to have their business or individual message endorsed through a custom photograph.

To coincide with the photograph, I write an editorial profile of their business, promotion, or individual message and then utilize my Blog and other means of Social Media including Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and JPG Magazine to document and display the results to my many subscribers, readers, contacts, fans, and followers.

I closely collaborate with each client to create a custom piece. If you’re local to the Denver/Boulder area, I will meet you for an on-site photo shoot. If you’re elsewhere, I’ll work with you to creatively interpret your message through the use of models, props, sets, and locations.

I am selling each day for its numerical value within the year. Meaning, Jan. 1st = $1, Jan 2nd = $2, …. and Dec. 31st = $365.

What do you get for your purchased day? On your day you get:

• Complete exposure of your days campaign to the many fans and followers through my Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, JPG Magazine, and email Newsletter.
• Your Name and Link to your website and article on my Blog + Booking Calendar indefinitely.
• A Limited Edition, 1 of 1 (Signed + Numbered), 11″ x 17″ archival print of the final photograph chosen to interpret your day.

Ultimately, the goal is to creatively represent/interpret your days theme or message through a creative photo-journalistic approach. I will be utilizing different techniques, equipment, stages, settings, models, props, and costumes when needed for each days campaign all while using social media to document the process and results to the many fans and followers of the project.

A value to the success of your campaign would be to send me any props, items, or schwag which promotes your day to use in the photograph or as giveaways to the fans and followers.

Some examples of how people will use their day:

• A business or brand might tell you about their shiny new product, service, or promotion.
• A unique way to say Happy Birthday, Congratulations,  or Thank You to someone. (Gift them the Print)
• An artist or gallery might promote their upcoming exhibition or show.
• An author might promote the publication of their new book.
• An individual might just simply have an idea or message that they want represented as a photograph.
• And the list goes on . . .

More Details

I’ve recently made the move from my roots in the east (West Virginia) to the beautiful Denver/Boulder area of Colorado. Beyond coming for the adventure and outdoor expedition which a place like this offers, I made the journey to further explore my passion in the business of art + commercial photography.

I pledge to correspond closely with each client to produce a quality campaign with a strong resulting photographic print. I recommend booking a day that’s several weeks out to allow time for us to collaborate. All items to be represented in the photograph or to be used as promotional giveaways need to be mailed to me within a week of your booked day.

I hope to experiment and explore all aspects of photographic techniques + equipment throughout the year. Some days I’ll shoot digital, some days film, and some i’ll use modified infrared, pinhole, or vintage cameras. Some days I’ll shoot outdoors and some in a studio with backdrop and lighting. Some days I’ll acquire models and some I’ll use myself, friends, family, or strangers. Some days I’ll use costumes or props and some I’ll shoot simple, clean, and minimal. There’s so many options and possibilites and each day will become my creative interpretation as a direct result from the input, ideas, and direction of you.

Each client will receive a limited edition, 1 of 1 (Signed + Numbered), 11″ x 17″ archival photographic print of the resulting photograph for the campaign. I will only ever print 2 of each days photo. One, numbered 1 of 1, I ship to you (which is included in the price of your day) and the other is an Artists Proof that I will keep for my portfolio of work.

What you won’t receive from me:
You won’t get a quick snapshot or famaliar stock photography style result.

What you will receive from me:
A promise to approach each campaign with a creative, if not experimental, approach to creating a unique representation of your message or brand which will garner much more conversation, debate, and exposure. You will get Artwork rather than a traditional snapshot.
